I'm a creative individual and I really like using mixed media and messing things around and generally experimenting, I'm always trying to find new materials and methods to incorporate into my final outcomes. I'm really influenced by contemporary artists like Si Scott and Derek Hess, I really like their drawing styles. I like fantasy styles and making things look different, using several different medium's to create interesting effects. However, I'm still a fan of working digitally, i recently started using a graphics tablet to create work, which i really enjoy! In my sketch-book work I like to present my work relevantly, for example, if my work has a theme, I will try to make the page co-ordinate to that theme. I'm a fan of photography, my personal favourite is landscape photography - however I'm still having a mental battle with myself to decide between proffering digital or film photography!
I currently study at Kendal College in the Lake District, the scenery around me is very good for photography, this could explain my love of landscapes! I'm very interested in Graphics, after completing a university course I aim to work in fashion magazines such as Vogue or POP.
I think I would be an ideal candidate for this course because I'm very ambitious and willing to learn and improve on lots of new Graphic Design techniques and specialize in this subject. I really enjoy all the different types of printing and spend lots of my time in the printing studio at college!
